Tirthan Valley & Serolsar Lake Trek
Everyone with an affinity to travel to the mountains has heard of Parvati Valley, Kullu Valley, Solang Valley, Sangla Valley or Spiti Valley. But how many people really know what a gem Tirthan Valley is! Also known as Banjar Valley, located in the Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh, Tirthan is one of the few lesser-explored valleys of India, with a huge potential for travel and tourism. Named after the majestic river, the valley is also home to the newly recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site - The Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP). GHNP is a treasure wich rich biodiversity. It is the natural habitat of western Himalayan tragopan, monal, cheer, Koklass pheasant, Kalij pheasant and also Himalayan snowcock. Blue sheep, Himalayan goral, musk deer and Himalayan tahr are also found in this region. Numerous pilgrims trek up to the lake from nearby villages. The path from Jalori Pass to the lake is full of Kharsu oak trees. Jibhi is an ideal destination to unwind and to introspect. You will find thick pine and deodar forests here in abundance. Shoja is famous for its scenic surroundings and is a picturesque village. Furthermore, Jalori Pass offers panoramic views of the Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal ranges. Day 1
Date : October 8, 2020
Time : 6:00 am
Delhi to Bahu via Tempo Traveller
We pack ourselves in cars early in the morning from Delhi and head on to a beautiful small village called Bahu in Tirthan Valley, jamming in the car, getting acquainted with each other and having an epic road journey across states! This distance of 500 kilometres will be covered in about 12 hours. Upon reaching the pristine village of Bahu, we explore around a little, taking a jungle walk while it is still daylight and come back after the sun sets to warm ourselves around a bonfire followed by a dinner. The stay will be at a quaint cottage surrounded by apple orchards.

Exploring gems in Tirthan Valley
From Bahu, we head out to explore some of the best spots the valley has to offer, including places like Gushaini, Tirthan River, and some famous temples. Gushaini is an untouched gem nestled deep in the Tirthan Valley! We will also visit Jibhi Waterfall in the evening. This waterfall is known for its tricky walk with slippery stones, but it is absolutely worth the effort as the views you will be welcomed with, are unlike any other! With the fresh glacial water cascading through rocks, forming pools of crystal clear blue waters, this is perhaps one of the most beautiful waterfalls India has to offer! And the best part? Not a lot of people have found out about it yet, so your Instagram pictures are going to be amazing like never before! We finally head back towards our cottage at Bahu.
Day 3
Date : October 10, 2020
Serolsar Lake Trek
After relishing on some breakfast, we drive over to Jalori Pass early in the morning. This is a high mountain pass with an elevation of 10,800 feet or 3120 meters above sea level. We will witness the stunning snow-clad vistas, hopefully catching a view of the upper Himalayas if the weather permits. After visiting the temple at Jalori Pass, we start our hike to the majestic Serolsar Lake. The distance from Jalori Pass to Serolsar Lake is just about 6 kilometres. It is a very easy hike, taking only 2-3 hours to complete. After basking in the beauty of the lake, we head back to our cottage for some mouthwatering dinner around the bonfire!
Day 4
Date : October 11, 2020
Back to Delhi
The last day we will relish on some breakfast early morning and start our drive back to Delhi, with a heart full of warmth and happy memories from this once in a lifetime road trip to the hills!

Drivers coming into the State for the purpose of dropping the tourists are exempted from quarantine requirement if, they return back immediately after dropping them. Other Guidance -Travellers are reminded that there is a 15 kg limit on personal luggage for all trips. -Cameras, whether video or film, needed to be protected against the severe cold either in a warm pouch or the interior pockets of your clothing. Do not keep your camera in your backpack at higher elevations. -No insurance of any kind is provided during the trip. -When you travel, please never litter. Remember – “Take nothing but photographs, leave nothing but footprints”. So, keep the mountains clean and green. -Aspirins and Paracetamols are highly recommended for headaches and because they also thin the blood that will help improving circulation & oxygen delivery to the body. Strong painkillers are not recommended as they can suppress respiration. What should I wear/carry for Tirthan Valley? -Inner Thermals -A fleece jacket or windcheater jacket or windproof jacket to prevent the winds (must-have) -A good sturdy pair of shoes and a backpack with plastic or waterproof lining -Woollen socks -Trek Pants (Comfortable) -Heavy woollens (Sweatshirts, pullovers or warm hoodie) -Carry a cap and Sunscreen Lotion to protect yourself from direct sunlight -Sunglasses to protect your eyes from the hard sun -Hand gloves -Wollen Cap (must-have) -Lip balm -Torch -Powerbank -Rain cover -Earplugs (optional) -Spare contact lenses or glasses -Towel especially lightweight quick-dry type -Reading materials, Games, Cards (Optional) -Identification proof like Passport, Driving license, Aadhar card etc. REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellation of booking of tour 31 days or more before the date of Departure will result in a 20% deduction in the cost of the tour. Cancellation of booking of tour 21-30 days before the date of Departure will result in 40% deduction of the cost of the tour. Cancellation of booking of tour 11-20 days before the date of Departure will result in 60% deduction of the cost of the tour. Cancellation of booking of tour 6-10 days before the date of Departure will result in 80% deduction of the cost of the tour.
