OVERVIEW
The Bhrigu Lake trek is a popular spiritual trek located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. The trek is best undertaken from mid-April to mid-November, and Manali serves as the nearest town to the base camp. The trek is 15 km long, and it provides stunning views of the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas. The lake, located to the east of Rohtang Pass, is named after Maharishi Bhrigu, who meditated near it, making it a sacred site. The locals believe that due to its spiritual significance, the lake never completely freezes. The trek takes you up to an impressive altitude of 14,000 feet, and you can experience snow just on the second day of trekking! On a clear day, you can also catch a panoramic view of the Pir Panjal Range and Dhauladhar ranges, including Mt. Hanuman Tibba (5,928 m), Deo Tibba (6,001 m), and Indrasan (6,221 m).
